Support the Preservation of the Jewish Heritage of Ksar el-Kebir

Join us in restoring the Jewish cemetery, preserving the dignity of our ancestors, and securing the community's heritage for future generations.

The Jewish Heritage of Ksar el-Kebir association works to preserve, document, and commemorate the legacy of the city's Jewish community. At the heart of our activity are the restoration of the Jewish cemetery and the preservation of the shrine of the tzadik Rabbi Yehuda Jabali.

Years of neglect and the ravages of time have left their mark on the cemetery. Tombstones have been damaged, graves have been covered by soil and vegetation, and parts of the site have become difficult to access. Alongside restoration, ongoing maintenance is needed to ensure the site is preserved for years to come.

What are the donations used for?

Donations help us fund:

  • Cleaning the cemetery and clearing vegetation.
  • Uncovering and documenting graves that have been covered over the years.
  • Identifying, cleaning, repairing, and restoring tombstones.
  • Organizing the grounds and access paths.
  • Preserving and maintaining the shrine of the tzadik Rabbi Yehuda Jabali.
  • Ongoing maintenance of the cemetery and preserving the work already carried out.
  • Continuing to document and preserve the Jewish heritage of Ksar el-Kebir.
