The Jewish Heritage of Ksar el-Kebir association (Patrimoine Juif Alcazarquivir) works to preserve, document and commemorate the heritage of the town's Jewish community. At the heart of its work are the restoration of the Jewish cemetery and the preservation of the shrine of the Tzadik Rabbi Yehuda Jabali.

Our aims
- To provide up-to-date information about the Jewish heritage sites of Ksar el-Kebir, including the precise locations of the graves in the cemetery.
- To support genealogical research by giving access to historical records and to the cemetery's records.
- To strengthen the bond of the community's descendants with their heritage and to keep its story alive as part of the Sephardic heritage of northern Morocco.
- To raise awareness and gather support and resources for preserving and restoring the town's heritage sites.
What has been done
- In 2023, plot A of the cemetery (graves from the 1940s to the 1970s) was restored, led by the Jewish community of Tangier with the Moroccan authorities.
- During the works more than 200 gravestones were documented; they are in the name database, together with records from the community's registers.
